Hello everyone,
I'm here to announce the very first in-house project we are currently developing, a story-based third person shooting game set in near-future dystopian world, inspired by games like Gears of War series, Overgrowth and Gundog.
We spent the last few months developing a proof-of-concept game demo which hopefully will be released in the near future!
Since the game will be full of in-game cinematics, we did some experiments with different game engines to decide which engine is more suitable for our project. Eventually, we stick to Unity Engine and accomplished quite a good progress within a tight deadline. It's not perfect but works pretty well for our team so far.
We plan to show the game prototype to some promising invertors before making it public. We're also trying to improve the demo as much as possible before showcasing it to everyone. Stay tuned!
Meanwhile, feel free to join our Discord channel and follow us on IndieDB.
I like the idea behind the game! Hope this project ends up how you wish. I'll be following your devlogs but I have some questions. Why did you pick Unity instead of Unreal if you're making a game based on cinematics in usual? I mean as a person who struggled selecting a game engine for my team, I wonder what's your reason to choose unity.
Hey, just saw your message. We originally started the project using Unreal Engine 5, but the engine was so unstable it always freezes for no reason. It will even freeze when pressing the save button. We decided to give Unity a try (High Definition Render Pipeline) and it's not too bad. Unity now has cinematic tool which works OK-ish so far. We basically re-did the whole game within a week, which previously took around 2 months to complete in Unreal.
Hello, I like your game, very good graphics and theme, I would like to create the soundtrack, I leave you my previous works:
