After a month of additional testing and bugfixing here is a current final release of Xash3D Engine - version 0.96, build 2664. There are many changes even past the build 2636. If you want to quickly upgrade your current installation of Xash3D Engine from builds 2271-2636 to the build 2664, you just need to paste over existing files in your main game folder 3 following files from xash_build2664.7z - xash.dll, menu.dll and Install Notes.txt. Please, note that it's desirable to do not use old game saves from previous builds to avoid potential bugs (because of revised client part of save file and other changes). Also, due to significant changes in rendering system, old versions of XashXT will not work with this build of Xash3D. Only XashXT v0.65 is compatible.

Engine: added a new parameter for gameinfo.txt which is called soundclip_dist (a distance of ambient sounds' clipping for the player). The default value is 1000.
Sound: added 'playvol' command (like in GoldSrc)
Server: fixed a crash in 'Gunman Chronicles' at the map end1.bsp
Engine: show more info with 'mapstats' command
Network: fixed a bug with DT_TIMEWINDOW_8
Server: fixed a bug with triggers with 'liquid' textures
Server: fixed some bugs in PVS calculation on server
GameUI: enabled auto-refreshing of current multiplayer maps' list
GameUI: updated 3D playermodel preview for 16:9 screen aspect

Hello , i have downloaded this and i have done everything explained in the readme , however when i launch the game from the hl.exe that's included in the file it starts half life with the regular engine . Could someone help me please , i would really like to try this jewel.
