Hello future Pandas,

I am proud to announce that Pandarunium is now feature complete and ready for launch on June 20. All major bugs have been found and patched and I have received lots of a good feedback about the game. I am very excited to share this game with everyone. If you do try the demo, please play with a friend. Pandas don't run alone! Check out

Updates include:

  • Balancing of abilities
  • Leveled audio
  • Saved configurations for sounds settings
  • Lots of random bugs fixed
  • Completed audio tracks for each of the 10 levels. We decided to have the tracks layer on each other. So with every levels theres an addition of to the looping track. My musician friend pulled out all the stops. Ukelele, Drums, kazoo, guitar, vocals. He did a great job and nailed the tone of the game.
  • Some better syncing with server for improved positioning of other players
  • Improved collisions
  • Fixed achievements not working
  • Some fun little panda band animations in the credits scene
  • Consolidation of UI element controls under the Gameplay settings (rather than random buttons)

I have been developing this in my very small amount of spare time being that I have a wife, two kids, and full-time job that take an immense amount of time. The only reason this game exists is because it has been a dream of mine to complete development a game by myself (except the music I outsourced to a friend). This is a moment I have long been working towards in the wee hours of the night for the last 7 months. Whether it sees a good amount of success or flops does not matter. I have completed a goal that I have been working towards for years. I have gained new skills, and looking forward to the path beyond now to put them to the next test.

“The life of man is a long march through the night, surrounded by invisible foes, tortured by weariness and pain, towards a goal that few can hope to reach, and where none may tarry long.” —Bertrand Russell

Here's to all you indie devs out there. Keep it up. Embrace the difficult, and endure to the end my friends.
