V0.4 will come with many bug fixes and new features like walls, environment effects, new AP and Pathfinding system and much more. This will also be the last version with the old campaign.

New Features

New health bar system. I'm not cluttering the floor anymore with a bunch of displays.

Wall functionality (Concrete and wire fence to be added), Soldiers can take cover behind or be underneath a roof from air attacks. Units in cover take less damage only if attack is not direct.

Quick bar now in UI to easily change combat stances, use abilities or items.4.

AOE effects, units dropping missiles now damage large surrounding areas and can also leave environment types on a tile.5.

New environments will include snow (slow movement), poison (damage over time), healing zone, resupply zone (replenishes special ability charges, nuclear fallout (instant death), Ionized Zone (reduces AP), Assist (increased damage), EMP zone (can't use abilities)

New AP system, units can now use multiple AP at once, speeding up play

New pathfinding system. Animations now don't continue anymore when destination is reach and units also avoid obstacles better.

These are some of the major changes, but it compares nothing to the new campaign update. Sneak peak on features I'm developing for that

1. Allot more units, but massive upgrade to existing. For example the soldier was suppose to be an upgrade to the chess pawn, that moves 1 in all directions, but it does not make sense for a soldier to shoot at range 1. This will be updated so all existing units realistically attack and move to their type. Their will still be a unit that moves 1 in all directions so that players can build whatever tactical game they want, but it wont be a soldier, maybe a combat dog.

2. All new terrain system, with isometric grid so that the entire gameplay area can have heights for units to move up stairs or hills

3. Out of combat will be real-time and not turn based, only when in combat (set range) will game switch to turn base, so make sure your units are positioned as unlike other games you won't be able to move units outside of range for miles and miles to join those whom are in turn based combat.

6. Pickable items like stun grenades, air support, helicopter evac, first aid, armor plates, tactical drones, EMP grenades, Mines, Riot shields, Gas masks, biohazard gear and many more.

8. RPG leveling system for main campaign units.

9. 2d Campaign cinematics to be replaced with real-time 3d scenes.
