Problem with Paypal Thread - Desura

I tried several times paying with paypal, its the only way to purchase a game for me.
But everytime I click on the "Pay now" button in Paypal, I get back to Desura and this text pops up.

"Please correct the following payment information:

• We were unable to complete your Paypal payment, you have not been charged. Please try again."

Can somebody help me?

I used to buy with PayPal, but lately I've just been using my Visa card.

Hi, really sorry about this - we are working on adding more payment gateways to get around this issue.

All paypal is reporting to us is:

Paypal wrote: L_ERRORCODE0 = 10001
L_SHORTMESSAGE0 = Internal Error
L_LONGMESSAGE0 = Internal Error
L_SEVERITYCODE0 = Error

So it is hard to debug much from that, however one suggestion is - do you have money in your paypal account? Put money in your account then pay and it should work. Non-instant payments from bank accounts typically fail.

I've got a different issue -- The login to the PayPal site never completes.

Shouldn't be a problem. PayPal works Via Steam without any issue

It can mean you don't have any funds in your PayPal account. Add money to your balance then try again

same deal mine gets stuck on authenticating, had no problem few days ago here and yesterday using beatport.com

I can't buy anything via paypal either and I know I have money, I can stil buy games via Steam.

Hi i today tried to purchase two games via pay-pal and when i clicked on checkout and chose to log into an existing pay pal account it just freezes / loops with no end in sight.

It seems to time out , i have previously bought games via pay pal through desura no issues.

I also introduced 2 friends to desura and they are also experiencing this issue, i must say it is dissapointing tbh and i mean that in respect i like desura and all but yeh pretty frustrated.

May I ask what browser you are using? Does it work in another browser? Any special conditions which maybe causing this so I can test?

I am using Firefox 14.01, i have Java 7 update 5 x64 and 32 Bit installed and adobe flash player. I have one extension installed in firefox and that is adblockplus as found here: Adblockplus.org I will try with adblock plus uninstalled adn see how it goes and if not ill set Internet explorer as my default browser and also see.

My OS is windows 7 ultimate x64 Service Pack 1, Internet explorer 9 and all updates are installed but my default browser is firefox 14.01.

UPDATE: I just tried again without adblockerplus extension running (wether or not this is co incidental i do not know) and it seemed to work albeit it took about 2 minutes for the desura client to allow me to log into pay pal with an existing account. I had a msg saying it will tkae upto 30 minutes to process the payment also, so hopefully it now works fine. On a side note i use ebay and other online transactions with adblockerplus and firefox 14.01 and never have any issues

ok so adblock was potentially the issue? weird because we run no ads on desura.

Potentially, however i have had it running in the past when purchasing through the desura client and havent had issues.

I guess it was just some odd timeout with the client and paypal interface, i will keep you upto date on my nxt purchase though and try with variables of adblock on or off again.

I meet the same problem today and I tried 3 times with two different games,then I found the post from 2011! Can't believe that Desura still not fix the problem

Having the same issue with paypal not loading up.

google chrome user, works with steam fine.

ps, trying to make purchase through the desura client when this happens, not through the website.

pps. worked through the website, while the client had issues.

am aware of the client issue - will be resolving as soon as we are able.

Seems as of today it still won't work? Tried to buy 5 games, sent to PayPal, clicked login to my account, and it just spins the little circle. No problems with PayPal at Amazon or Steam, today. Can we get a fix?
