so... you hate good graphics? Nice opinion bro.

Nice, hex grid for the win. I like the idea of it having a sort of Sim City "region" flavor as well with neighboring tiles.
Beautiful and inspirational video there. Thanks.
Cool visuals, but really boring gameplay. :/
It uses a modulate blend parameter. Similar effects can be seen in newer source engine games. Check out more about the method here: Developer.valvesoftware.com
The design seems pretty confused. I found myself box-surfing through most things that I would assume were trying to puzzles? There seems to be a lot of room for interesting Portal-like puzzles, but I just surf through them or otherwise "cheese" them.
Also I think a reason I tend to try and cheese the puzzles (at least, it feels like I am) is that the environment fights me every step of the way. I feel like I'm constantly getting caught on little lips that should be noclip etc.
Also the camera should probably be zoomed out by default, it's pretty much necessary and I didn't realize I could do it until I quit out in frustration the first time and then saw the control for it in the tutorial. With the camera being zoomed in all the way it's nearly impossible to figure out where to go. After I figured that out I did manage to finish the main game however.
Aside from that, cool game and cool concept!
Sounds great. My only crit is that the wind sound effect from motion ramps up and becomes quiet too quickly. It's a great dramatic touch when making long leaps and such, but when running a few steps, it sounds out of place. Especially considering how quiet the background ambient wind noise is, and how high up the character is in this particular scene.
We need more gibs these days. Nice.
Awesome character design for those enemies.
Looks like Ultima 7 style graphics :O very cool.

dota was originally for reign of chaos
still, i dunno if it pre-dated stuff like tides of blood
if you're talking about one of the videos, muzzle flashes kind of go awry when you playback a demo, so yeah
Don't forget it's supporter *testing*. So there's bound to be some fun bugs. Like, say, a garage door growing to a hundred times it's size and eating players. With its teeth.
Both of their hairstyles could use a lot more puffiness, Gabe's especially, he's got quite a mane lately.
This is amazing. I haven't been this immersed in a game in a long while. Very well done, cheers!
hahaha oh man, that's brutal! I especially like how he used the limp body as a weapon.
If you don't like PVK2, you don't like fun.
He's probably talking about the skirmisher and such.
Anyway, the game is incredibly balanced given how different the classes are. You'd think the pirates would rape everyone since they have guns, but I find they lose more often than not.
And I don't see how hit damage can be confusing when there's a power bar and it tells you how well of a hit you scored every time you hit someone. Oh, and it essentially tells you the opponents health, heh.
Astounding artwork. Great work.
