Team Giga, LLC. is a distributed independent game development studio based in Houston, TX and founded by Robert Desrosiers (Creative Director) and Kevin Teddy Vega (Strategic Director), focusing on creating familiar experiences through innovative design. We intend to take what we love most about our favorite video games and give them a new shine-- often by either presenting a bundle of exciting game mechanics, by growing a niche audience into something more accessible, or some other wild experiment we can't wait to get our hands on. In other words, we're your typical game development studio. We want to make games that people enjoy.

History

Prior to Team Giga's founding, Kevin held a job as a Store Manager for T-Mobile and Robert was practicing game development as a hobby.

After watching an April 2015 live stream of Game Dev Tycoon, Robert was inspired to create a brainstorming tool that meshes together random game genres and narrative settings, in an effort to challenge the user with creating a viable game idea. This card game prototype would eventually conceptualize the origins of Partial, as well as the current downloadable version of Conception. Robert would continue to work on both projects, eventually using a dev blog to record his progress and as a method of testing his skill. As Partial took shape from multiple design iterations, Kevin grew to really enjoy the game and offered his full support. Robert currently works as the Creative Director, while Kevin stands as the Strategic Director to help production run smoothly.
