I have a working "borderspawn" system, where i can set exactly the amount of spawned objects and maximum objects in world.
And the best is, it gives you a feeling to be on a sinking ship or island, that was my target.
Here i test a setting with 160 cubes x 6 faces = 960 faces, spawned as physical objects, colliding with obstacles, you can even jump on them.
The overall performance is very well on my old system with i 2500 k and 560ti. I target low spec sys too.
Later in the game you have to manually activate stuff, that is now still running in the background and yeah, works well.
