Cargo is a first-person adventure game with puzzle and roguelike elements. In Cargo you assume the role of a galactic delivery boy who must make their way across a dangerous galaxy. As the only human crew member aboard a mostly AI controlled space ship you are tasked with completing the manual labor the AI cannot. As you travel between distinct points along the galaxy you will come across random encounters, most of which will be extremely hostile. As systems break across the ship you must use your tools and wit to keep the ship and your cargo from being destroyed. The concept for Cargo was created during the first part of a three part senior game design course at University of California, Santa Cruz. The game was greenlit by a panel of industry judges from Sony, EA, and various indie companies to be produced over the next two quarters (roughly six months).
