Dream Channel Zero tells the tale of a boy named Akira, who one day gets suddenly and inexplicably sucked into the world of a mysterious video game. There, he meets Rumiko—a seemingly normal girl in a teal blue hoodie—and the two team up to conquer whatever perils this strange virtual world might throw at them, and hopefully find a way out. Thus begins an all-new and truly original adventure full of laughter, tears, and fears from Fuming (creator of the indie cult classic Zelle) and award-winning developer Odencat.

Features

Explore a charming world full of endless surprises!

Guide mini-Akira and mini-Rumiko across a lovingly retro-styled world map as you overcome obstacles and navigate your way through the Dream Channels! Check out each individual space on the map to uncover optional events and locations, where you can battle enemies, stumble into side content, or just visit your favorite characters at their humble abodes!

Interact with old-timey TV sets strewn throughout the lands to instantly tune into different channels! From bright summer beaches to moody downtempo nightscapes, there’s no shortage of aesthetic environs to vibe out in. No matter where you turn that dial, this is one adventure that's anything but static.

But be careful: this world is also home to many fearsome, ghostly denizens known as phantoms—and should you encounter one, you’ll have no choice but to duke it out! Dream Channel Zero features a battle system that’s both elegantly simple and highly exhilarating, and it’s sure to put both your wits and your reflexes to the test. With no repeat encounters, each enemy will come at you with its own bag of dirty tricks, which you’ll have to weave your way through in order to deal the coup de grâce.

But while this world’s inhabitants are quite strange, not all of them are hostile. You’ll meet an eclectic cast of strange and hilarious NPCs over the course of your adventure—each with their own bizarre little quirks. They may be a little unhinged, but they’re lovable all the same. And in Dream Channel Zero, even minor characters feel major.

But despite the game’s surreal sense of humor, there’s also a strange sense of malaise lurking beneath the goofs and gags, which slowly starts to take hold as you banish the bosses of each channel and catch glimpses of their own tragic tales…

Only Akira and Rumiko have the power to uncover the mysteries of this world.

What thrills and chills await our protagonists on this strange and hysterical adventure!?
