Description

Created new time of day tabs, and incorporated them into the existing time-teller GUI piece. While the movement of the sun in the existing GUI will help to let you get a visual feel for the passage of time, I needed a way to more concretely show just how long you have left until serving / talking time is over, and we enter the sneak-stealing phase of the evening (where all the guests go to bed, the lights are off, and you have a single candle). What I’ve chosen to go with is 10 tabs, each with an icon showing either a sun, the sun setting, or the moon and stars. As time passes, each individual tab will slowly retract, one after another (yet to code this). Each tab will represent maybe 2 minutes, maybe 1.5 minutes… This needs to be worked out by play-testing to see what a good balance is. So what we are looking at for a day of play is about 15-20 minutes, not counting time spent in paused conversation, or time spent in the final sneak phase. This is just an assumption at this stage though. Later, I might add some extra functionality with these, where hovering your mouse over a conversation option has the predicted passing of time shown in the tab temporarily retracting the given amount. Still considering this one.
