Today I worked on fixing many of the bugs that were outstanding with the UI, I reworked the actionbar so it no longer snaps to the top left corner which was really annoying. David also supplied me with some new skins and he did some better placement of the inventory slots for equipment.
We also had a long conversation via Skype about where this game is going and how we want to handle movement and combat, right now the game is designed for 8 direction movement, with 8 directional swing and to make the game more fun we may limit the movement to 4 directional movement with 4 directional swing with more static swing animations that might be more fun and ultimately easier to work with.
So with that I am going to work on a proof of concept in the engine with 4 directional movement and combat to see how it feels and we will go from there and what system we want to go with, and ultimately what one is the most fun.
