Red Alert: A Path Beyond brings the exciting storyline and epic clashes from the classic Westwood Studios game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert to realm of first person shooters, with a twist. We've remained loyal to the style and feel of the 1996 classic, while integrating content from its expansions Counterstrike and The Aftermath with a bit of updated history to add to the mix. Built off the W3D engine Westwood Studios built for classics such as Earth & Beyond and Command & Conquer: Renegade finished up in 2001, we help bring the fight to you as you play out your role as any one of a number of infantry classes participating in team-based combat that often involves land, sea, and air combined-arms clashes that just don't happen in any other game. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE?
The Soviet SAM Site will launch pairs of rockets from its six tubes before briefly reloading and continuing its efforts to blast any nearby Allied helicopters. It is fairly weak compared to other base structures, however, and uses its long range to its advantage.
It requires a decent amount of power for its tracking systems. Cutting the base power by destroying the Power Plant or using a Spy will neutralize the SAM Site.
Magnificent Work of Art !
So beautifully filthy ! Lovely design!
APB team You have Wonderful Talent !
That texture is scrumptious.
One thing I may suggest is to bevel some of the edges, but that's minor.
Awesome. Simply awesome. :)
Huh... but this isn't the RA SAM site at all... it's the C&C1 version.
Nod SAM Sites (in C&C1) and Soviet SAM Sites (in RA1) are similar in appearance, it's just that the Nod SAM Site is more advanced (better targeting systems, etc). Also, the Nod SAM Site has its own bunker where it can retract underground, while the Soviet SAM Site is stuck on a concrete base above ground.
