i have a book named Fruits, it's a photo collection of street fashion in tokyo. It's quite mindblowing.
Even though those photos are like 15 years old, an outfit like this one here isn't all that eccentric compared to some people from that book.
have you personally seen any of that fashion where you live?
Because I haven't
To be honest I rarely see girls in skirts at all where I live, let alone dress to stand out. (generally its T-shirts and jeans ... nothing special)
Its not that im complaining that anime is so unrealistic, i guess im complaining that girls dont typically dress very sexy ... I cant even remember the last time I've seen a girl in a dress and not a lady suit.
It just made me wonder how fashion became so exaggerated in anime than from real life (but maybe its not as horribly exaggerated as I think)
I guess I could go with the obvious answer or "sex appeal" but I don't want to say that because for even relatively un-sexed anime the fashion sense is sometimes over the top ...
That and colored hair ... practically EVERY girl from every anime series seems to have hair of some other color than black unless they intentionally dont want her to stand out, and they never really explain it like "oh, its just really popular to dye hair", they explain it as "oh she is a foreigner" or she is japanese, but she just happens to have naturally blue hair ... BLUE >_> ... no one has blue hair O_o ...
haven't personally seen any of that fashion where you live? of course, because you are not live in Japan.
also see my post below. apparently that kind of fashion existed older than what artists did for modern anime. and they are real.
hmm ...
Why is anime so unrealistic?
just ONCE id like to see a girl wearing stocking and a short skirt in a casual manner (not cosplaying)
also, rocker boots ... sexy yet rarely seen :/ ...
why are you here?
most of the animes are not realastic

try google something called "Harajuku Style"?
My sister does it all the time.. Prolly thanks to watching anime...
is it me or the gun looks sided too much
Ah, this has the two things I love: Communism, and a gratuitous amount of anime!
this is for me a cool pic
I definitely like the characteristics of this pic! Pretty amazing I would say!
Instead of the microphone and/or veggie in her hands, a Magnum gun! Makes her more...agressive and a person not to be trifled with either. ":D
This picture is the fifth reason why I joined the Soviet Union
