This group has been formed to gather the people who enjoy Japanese anime and all of its facets, to salute the people from the land of the Rising Sun.
Story synopsis:
In the underground city of Lux has crime taken over the law enforcement and people live in constant despair and struggle to survive. Underground fighter Ichise loses an arm and a leg when refusing to obey his promoter's wife during sex and, barely alive, he gets taken by "Doc", a beautiful mad scientist who develops the next generation of Texhnolyze, artificial limbs with much more power than human counterparts. After getting used to his new limbs, he joins one of the organisations ruling the city and meets Ran, pictured, the young seer girl of a group of people who "do not fight fate". Ran prophesises him to be the destroyer of the world. Ichise tries to go on instead of listening to her and unreveal some of the secrets behind the city of Lux and to find out what happened to the overworld.

A very psychological, depressing and often outright disturbing anime about technology fanaticism, rejectionism and sheer despair, will Texhnolyze take you on an uncomfortable ride through the deepest, darkest parts of the human soul from beginning to end. From the makers of Lain.
Seems really interesting, adding to my to watch list. Actually i think i'll watch it when i finish all series of hirugashi ^^
me too.the quality of pictures uploaded has really been increased.nice work everyone.
same here. added to wait list.
it's nice to see someone promoting non-retarded anime. :)
Texhnolyze is a decent anime, i'm surprised it has never gotten more popular.
only thing that annoyed me is the protagonist, for most of time his behaviour is utterly listless. he lets other people decide for him.
Reminds me of Ergo Proxy a bit, but i'll see how it is.
For those that haven't seen it: Texnohlyze is unutterably bleak, requiring stamina to watch through to the end, and the description of "depressing and often outright disturbing anime" is peculiarly apt.
Those that watched Serial Experiments Lain will have an idea of what to expect.
That said, it is a worthwhile watch.
I watched this when I was 15 or 16 for the first time, and just yesterday I ended rewatching it. It was A LOT more depressing the second time. The first 3 or 4 episodes start rather slow, but after that it becomes a really fast chain reaction. Maybe I should watch Lain sometime too but not now (also, considering I watched CLANNAD just recently and now switched to Texhnolyze, I need something happy again <.<)
**** ... this needs to go on my watchlist right now!
(although i may need to chill out on the more extreme anime ... I had a dream last night that a gang of girls in french maid uniforms were bashing people's heads in with large rocks ... children too >_>)
I want to have those kind of dreams... i msut be really dark hearted, since i never dream (at least i never remember of dreaming anything)...
Although the girls were wearing french maid uniforms, I assure you there was nothing sexy about it. Dreaming about a kid being bludgeoned to death by a rock and beyond is ... more disturbing to me than not dreaming of anything at all ...
You're to soft :P
Roberta from Black Lagoon came to your dream... xD
****, now that I think of it I did watch black lagoon about two weeks ago O_o ...
her eyes looks weird o_o
Probably because of the light. Normally, her eyes are yellow.
