Just buy the Steam version. It's literally fine. They haven't updated it in years and I doubt they'll start now.
2nd to last GOG version and Steam are the only compatible versions.
It's not likely since it would take a lot of time and money. There's still a lot we want to do with the first game anyways.
That comment induced a stroke.

I suggest checking the Discord for the latest experimental patch to fix the issue with Hoth.
As for the nerfing/buffing issues you explained, I ain't touching them tbh. Got tired real fast from people having their own personal preferences as to what would make the game "balanced", but more often than not nobody knows what they're talking about and usually are playing it wrong or it contradicts what someone else says.
People think Droidekas are too OP atm, which I guess Isn't true based on your experience. The Clone Pilots are easy to avoid and die pretty easily. Just because someone doesn't know how to counter a unit/vehicle doesn't mean it should be altered or fixed.
Most people also tend to complain that the AI rockets don't lock on nearly enough to make them dangerous, which again your anecdotal experience says otherwise.
I meant for the mod to be fun for me specifically, and others who like a similar playstyle. I don't mind suggestions, but they have to make sense.
I'll keep note of this, and thanks!
You can play it on GOG, you just need to rollback to an older version. The newest version is not compatible.
Maps which use Jungle, desert or urban unit sets for Rebels will behave like this due to the size limitation of side.lvl files. We're hoping to fix this in the future.
You can now download it directly from moddb if you had issues with the mediafire link.
Very excited for this yes! But it doesn't work with all dx9 games from what I hear, so hopefully BF1 is one of them!
Yes! We host a server nearly every day or so on the Discord. More work to be done with MP in the future :)

From Abkarino-
"Although the launcher supports GOG version, it is highly recommended to use Steam version.
Unfortunately, the launcher supports on version 1.3.5 on GOG release, whereas the latest version and the one you will likely have is 1.3.6 . This was an error from my side, sorry 😅 .
We plan to open source the launcher some time soon. We have community members looking to adding support for other versions like CD version, but at the moment, there are no plan on upgrading to latest GOG release."
You should make a Discord for it! I'd definitely join and help where possible.
Sorry for the long wait on the reply, I don't check moddb much.
I will certainly look into it!
I would recommend you check out the Discord if you haven't yet to see what we're up to currently. Discord.gg
The aggro distance is something we've recently fixed!
If you haven't played the current version of the mod, yes damage is increased, with additional reinforcements to balance it out. Currently rifle and pistols aren't '2 shot kills' anymore so it's a little less extreme, but still not bullet-spongey.
No problem! Can you describe in more detail what you mean by recoil? Recoil inaccuracy is already in, but have a larger recoil for snipers and such is not possible atm.

I never liked BF2 due to it's rushed release. Missing prone, worse AI that only targets the player, bad looking HUD, etc. Some also just prefer BF1 due to the fact you're "just another soldier", and not a hero.
The only advantage BF2 had over the first game were the Jedi-Sith battles, Space battles and less restrictions on memory. It also has it's own remaster being worked on.
It's about time the underdog got it's spotlight back, after being cast aside for years due to it's restrictions. No longer :)
Thanks for the kind words! Always nice to hear people are having fun with it :)
Only the steam version. Gog may also be compatible, but may cause issues.
I'll look into this, please check in on the Discord for an experimental download fixing this issue with vanilla maps.

Thanks man!
As for altering unit counts, that is done via the 'mission.lvl' builder. You can find it over on swbfgamers, but you need to be logged in to download it.

Thanks for the feedback!
I'll try increase the damage output from rifles and see if that balances things a bit better.
I'll have to test out vanilla Plains when I get a chance, thanks for letting me know!
Since this patch is still relatively new, any experimental patches are available on the Discord for people to try out before they're officially added to one big patch, so you should see these fixes on there sometime soon!
I'll look into balancing this.
This fix will be released on the Discord sometime soon.
Saw this a little late. I'll look into fixing this when I can.
Since the new patch released today, this fix will be released on the Discord instead.

Requested by a few users who want to build a multiplayer community around this mod.
I also release experimental downloads there for fixes and additions as I add them, before putting them into a patch.
