When i start a game it just kicks me back to the desktop. the same with the stargate mod - what can i do?

i know how to start it !
create a shortcut to the homeworld main executable ,and simply add -overridebigfile to the "target" field.
it has to look like this : homeworld2.exe -overrideBigFile
