Well, here it is, just showing signs of life and progress. This is one of the worst models I've made. due to the lack of good high resolution reference pictures and blueprints of the modernized USS Iowa, suffering from accuracy. I've mostly based it off its sister ship the, New Jersey, even though I was aware that both designs are completely different in small details such as the bridge layout, etc. It doesn't look bad geometrically but terrible for achieving perfection. The model currently has 1352 quads and 2848 triangles with the polybudget ranging to the 2000-3000 range. Highlight colors point out various weapon system, ranging from 16 inch guns to tomahawks launchers.
Thats cool looking. I like it.
Thanks, alot still needs to be done. Right now it just looks naked to me without those extra details like the radar tower and antennas. I can't believe I spent most of the time blind-modeling this thing.
good work roach :)
Thanks mate. I'm a bit over the poly budget at the moment but It'll be optimized by then.
