Defensive Series: 2 of 3.
Because this relies heavily on the green channel of the specular map, this took quite a while to tweak. The main reason of course is that the only way to check the effect out is to view it in-game.
The reflection map adds a light blue sky and a sandy ground terrain over your diffuse texture (you can make it out if you look at the side of the platforms).
This obviously effects the shades of the colour in your diffuse (and effects different colour differently), so some adjustments are needed to the diffuse, and this can take a while, especially when you are using different colours and different green values for the reflection map.
The platform sides need some more work. I will probably have to manually assign the smoothing groups, so I can get better specular highlights (the sides are all 1 smoothing group currently), or I can try increasing the reflection multiplier.
Very nice :)
And you're again not used my model. Anyway very good work!
It simply easier to unwrap a model that I have done, because I can start setting up the unwrap while I am modelling.
If I have to do any kind of tweaking to a model (there are lots that need to be done to imported models), if the model is simple enough, I am better of modelling it myself.
