Whats the poly count on this beast? Also are you using substance painter for texturing? Or the old fashioned way? You're churning turrets out pretty quick, keep up the good work :)
Thank you Delta, I would like to reduce it in any way, but its polycount is 804. To much for a turret, and more of this size. Yep, Substance Painter all the way now ;)
Use different smoothing groups to avoid smoothing unwanted edges together. In "Editable Mesh", select "Polygons" or "Faces" and scroll down at the options on the right and you should see "Smoothing Groups". Selecting one of the 32 groups will smooth the edges of those selected polygons together and as long as they have different groups, they won't mudge together.
I finished these one yesterday and looks freaking amazing. The only problem I find on it is that it has to many polies for a turret but seeing as its only present in a ship I´ll let it pass.
What unit is this for?
Are you serious? "Arquitens-class Quad turret"
Obviously it's for the Broadside Cruiser!
lol brain fart, my mistake
No problem :)
