The Salamander is a heavily armoured flame tank with an ARV-style dozer blade, improvised during the Second Battle of Hue. In addition to firing bursts of flame at targets, it can pour jellied gasoline, unlit, onto targets, reducing their armour value against fire attacks.
Blame Josh for this. He suggested it, he's gotta code it.
That annoys me ; there is a lot of things to upload and the wiki is totally dysfunctional.
Is the base model the APC or Minelayer?
The APC.
Why am I getting so much flak for this? All I noted is that we should have a Grizzly Zippo map prop for the Battle of Hue, and Derek was all like "WWWOOOOAAAAAHHHHH WE TOTALLY SHOULD :D:D:D:D:D:D", and then tried to foist the coding on me so Reven doesn't strangle him through the internet.
How is this unit different from the Predator in role?
It looks quite good, though.
It's a special unit for the Fall of Hue map, and presumably any other urban combat map we make with the ARVN. It probably won't be in the less developed Welcome to 'Nam or Ho Chi Ming Trial maps. Basically, it's not got the Light Vehicle armourset, meaning it can stand up to enemy attacks while dishing out fire.
looks good, nice troop transport, nice gun.
This is not a troop transport, this is a flame thrower tankette with the ability to reduce enemy armour against fire attacks.
Wait, will this just be lying around on the field?
I'd like to see this fight a Dragon Tank
