How did you manage to modify the engine? My guess is a leaked source.
The only things preventing this from being perfect are the lack of modding tools and the insane amount of bugs.
Looks promising so far. Once basic building becomes possible, it will be a hit.

The map sources were released on Quake's 10th anniversery.
Black Mesa (the actual thing) is probably copyrighted or something. Valve could care less about tiles that have nothing to do with Half-Life, E.G. Zombie Panic! Source and Jailbreak: Source.
The sound is used in Quake itself, but i've heard it in an older video game (Hotel Mario lol).
Because graphics don't make a game.

I compiled a random map with HDR and ran the map. Sadly some materials use a default envmap which is only available in LDR. LDR cubemaps are ugly in HDR mode, and the only way to fix it would be to edit every single reflecting Half-Life: Source material X_X

All I did was editing a few vmt lines, but it took long time to test them all in game :P
Do report anything that needs to be changed e.g. purple checkboard.
Feel free to add it to an official update.

Woah you were 14 when you made this! The weapons are more detailed than Valve's.
Very nice mod. It's not just a cheap port with no new features. The mod is actually edited to feel better, etc.
What I would like to see: Detail textures (comes with OB engine), HDR lightning, HL2 props spread around E.g. Replace the old bicycles with the HL2 prop, and the bottles at the start of the game.
BTW, why is Episode 2 needed? Source SDK Base - Orange Box is enough to run Orange Box mods.
Someone should port this to Half-Life: Source.
