You'll find out lol
FNC is done. Has been for several years now.
We're always open to letting anyone else continue it, but I've moved on to a career making games.
You don't need anything but the FNC 231 exe and New Vegas to play and not crash.
Just run the installer, ensure the 4GB Patch is applied, and load the mod.
You don't even need a mod manager if all you're running is vanilla, but it is necessary if you want to run more.
If you're using the new version from Epic, nothing will work and we're not alone. You have to roll back to the version before Epic broke the mod community.
Sweet! I remember Battleships Forever had modding abilities and it was borderline miraculous. Had all custom tools for it too!
Made a ton of ships and sprites for that game.
1 And STRONGLY.

Made a theme song like the show once. It is hard work getting that iconic sound!
This music is really fantastic. Have you been a composer and game developer for long? I just got into composing in CuBase with Albion 1-3 and BBC Ochestra. New terrain for me. I have no musical training whatsoever. But composing is a great challenge while making a game as a visual artist.
What did you use to make these? How do you balance your time composing vs developing?
Fantastic. Been excited for this game since before I even got into the industry!
Very frustrating hitting the limits of what mods can do. Really reinforces to me and my company not to repeat the mistakes of the past. Bummer to hear the mod hit a wall. That's the worst feeling. Glad you're looking out for the future though. Lets hope HW3 still remembers modding is a passion for the deepest fans.
This is awesome. Love all the new content.
Looks pretty slick! Not a lot to do in that opening area. Nothing much to loot or look at or lore entries to find as notes or something. Those are cheap and easy additions to add value to a playable space without much overhead or maintenance.
I don't know about that. Mods are always uploaded by the mdder at their discretion. If they decide to take it down or get an account ban, that isn't up to us in any way. It's between the modder and the nexus mods staff.

The rest are all in the game files. Just hop into the DATA folder and you can play all the radio songs and OST.
Wow, the chronicles of myrtana really showed up!
Is Fallout: New California classified as a total conversion on the site?
Technically it is a TC, though it shares the same EXE and eventually bridges to the main game at the end. But it has an all new start from the main menu, a new story, new world spaces, and never touches New Vegas until porting your save at the end.
Yeah, so many mods made it to be released and really good, it's incredible!
I'm waiting. :p I still think you are awesome at whatever you do.
It's been years, and I'm still very excited. Someone posted about Road Warden in out little Tucson Game Devs group and I was like, "I was there at the beginning on indieDB!"
It's finished.
The only reason we didn't name BETA 231 as 1.0, is because the community feedback said they wanted far more changes than we could feasibly make in a human lifetime.

You can also check out the release trailer for New California. Narrative dialogue heavy mod was very dialogue heavy, not just shooting goons in a hallway. :p
Works with every version out there. :) The german no-gore and the the eastern European version just need their _.lang.esp turned off. Russian has a translation.
This all looks fantastic. Excited to play this and check out all the mods!
I wouldn't recommend it. It will perform poorly on less than 8GB of ram.
This is what I am up to these days: Patreon.com
Should be fine, but be aware, they will crape the absolute limit of what New Vegas (and FNC) can fit into the ancient VRAM limits and will probably introduce crashes and stuttering.
I'm, super confused.
What?
1.3.1? The old Project Brazil release from way back in the day? That's in the archives if you need it. But I don't understand why you would, it's ancient. 231 is the last version of the New California mod with its map finished.
"I am sorry... but I have put a very great deal of time on your game and creating my own content over the last twenty years or so and really The Project Brazil Map is about the best out there for expanding Fallout 3 and NV."
I guess that's cool. I actually think our world map was kinda terrible. Made a lot of mistakes on it that I'd never make again knowing what I know now. Least of all that I made it by hand!
