Done and thank you!
Not true at all. The president is a civilian, not a general in the military, therefore there is no presence of a dictatorship in the country.
Yup, my youtube account doesn't really have anything on it anymore.
Minecraft definitely deserved this award.
It looked great overall, and I'm considering donating now. Only criticism (Which was mentioned above), is that I thought the sound the dinosaur makes when he jumps/pounces was very annoying; but I'm sure that'd be improved before the game releases anyways since this is an alpha.
Back when moddb had the poll on how many people use paypal or visas for online purchases, and everyone was wondering why we thought paypal was terrible; this is exactly why..
Hey you need to fix your 'buy here' link! It made me un-track bounce :P
Can't play it; "You are logged into steam from another location. Please login again". Keep getting that. Ended HL2.exe, like stated above, restarted the game, restarted steam, restarted my PC - still not working. Any other ideas for a fix AndY?
I don't understand why everyone is complaining about this game. It's a great casual title! The price is low because you are meant to pick the game up every once in a while and just have fun.
*Edit*. I've removed the comment as I answered your question incorrectly :P
Congratulations on a release! I'll be picking the game up soon; Can't go wrong for such a low price!
Yes, we planned on having something similar to this, but not at release. Mainly because we want to just get the basic gameplay down and then expand upon that. But we have some ideas in mind on how we can make things more interesting.
This should be classified under "Unreal Development Kit" instead of Unreal Engine 3.
I agree with the comments above.. nothing in this really interests me.. The RTS/FPS game (I think IG:Warlords) was so much fun when I tried the demo, but this is just another generic RTS from the looks of it.
They look similar to me..
Ah it wasn't me who made these concepts. Updating the descriptions!
Wow, Orion hasn't been online since May 25th.. :(
This is a very very good article. Personally, I have gone through this myself with past projects. Take a look at my team's game, Grand Heist for example. I believe we might have started developing around the same time as you. In fact, I started developing the game on Torque Game Engine Advanced many years ago. Throughout development, we switched to 3 different engines (Basically because I kept listening to my team a bit too much and following everything they said. Our team used to be a bit too democratic in that sense). Each time, we ultimately lost more and more fans. If I've taken anything from the experience, it's this; BEFORE you make any content what so ever, you need to compile a list of the features you'd like in your game. Search (Or build if you have the know-how) for an engine that suits your needs. Think you found the right one? Well keep searching because there is bound to be more engines that have what you are looking for.
The way we see it, the concept art should just be used to quickly get a point across to the other artists or someone else on the team. I don't see much of a need to spend weeks on a piece of art like this, when a simple one (Just as good) can be completed in a day.
Hey jjawinte! Thanks for stopping by my page hah. The arcade is now playable and fully functional with basically any classic game. Just haven't gotten around to making it look nice yet, like adding the side art and putting Plexiglas in the necessary areas. I guess I'll upload a video or some updated pictures whenever I get around to it for you to check out.
Hope all is going well with you as well!
You'll see on the Grand Heist page soon.
How is he an idiot and/or a ******* moron? This man tells the truth; if it was standalone there would be no prerequisites to getting the game. but there are! There are two in fact - Steam and a 2Gig file. Even though both of these are free it doesn't take away from the fact that everything made is still a mod. A free mod for a free game? Yes; but still a mod none the less.
I agree. Couldn't play it more than 10-15 minutes without becoming incredibly bored.
Calm down. I'm going to share what I know so far, without jumping to conclusions. I am working on an indie podcast with ashton (Primal Carnage) and one of the developers on orion. Ashton privately shared his work in progress pics of the trex in our skype chat. A few days later, this very similar version is posted on the orion page.
I thought of the same thing :P One of the screenshots really reminded me of arena_nucleus. Can't complain though! Tracking!
Are you kidding me? Multiplayer is what makes the games worth what they are worth usually..
