It will pretty much sum up the new BF :D Personally I lost most of my faith in BF series they got rid of the bots they ship the game in DLCs bugs glitches and crashes... (at least that is what I heard about BF4)
Tho it will push other devs to focus more on WW1
Interestingly the game seems to be covering the British Arab/Ottoman Front quite rare for WW1 games.
Very well said! I would like to see the new battlefield with bots and mods.
Battlefield 1942, Vietnam, 2 and 2142 are my favorites because they have bots and mods. Those games don't have DLCs but expansion packs, instead of microtransactions (or battlepacks or whatever new Battlefield games have) you need actual skills, no netcode problems (because they were LAN servers) and especially DICE (Sweden) actually care about the community. The only reason why Battlefield 4 has so many players is thanks to DICE LA which fixed tons of bugs which DICE Sweden was unable to fix.
I would be glad enough if the Battlefield 3/4 would be Mod Friendly.
But it isn't and would't.
So yeah. Hardline was failure. So now WWI for a change.
They could go for Vietnam that would be cool or new super NAVY friendly WWII but . . . yeah EA at its finnest
It's way easier to make some stupid campaign which will bring a lot of people who will think that it will be actually interesting but it isn't.
Hardline would be a very good mod (about 8/10), but when its game, it doesn't really worth even a 10€ because when you can play mods like Project Reality, Forgotten Hope, Battlegroup, Alpha Project, AIX and more you don't need to play some Hardline which is just a simple reskin.
Vietnam would be a good choice, however Bad Company 2 had a Vietnam theme so I don't think it's really needed right now.
Lets all agree that EA should be burned at the stake. And Dice impaled in anus.
Same goes for Infinity and Activision with Call of Duty which by now made a better work of Star Wars Duty then actual Star Wars.
Yeah and lets not forget the Green Enviroment issue named Ubisoft that know nothing better the recycling their own products with the Hassasin Creed.
I absolutely agree! However, I'm not sure about the Star Wars and I'm not going to compare it because I don't know much about it.
Last great Assassins Creed game was Revelation (maybe Black Flag, but I hadn't played it so I can't compare it). The main problem with Ubisoft isn't the repetitive content, but their downgrade. They have been downgrading games way back when Far Cry 2 should have been released. They are tons of videos comparing Watch Dogs or Division, but not a single one which would compare Far Cry 2. However, I hate EA much more. Mostly because they destroyed these franchises: Battlefield, C&C, Crysis and probably Medal of Honor. I haven't played Warfighter too, so I shouldn't compare it, but it looks very similar to BF3 campaign which wasn't a good one.
As much as I HATE to admit this, but kudos to DICE for coming out with something fresh for a change. I know what game to pirate next (I am NOT paying for a game that has EA label on it)
Better late than never. They only did this after the complaints about the overflow of modern military games went mainstream. But well, gotta give credit where credit is due.
But still, screw EA, not gonna give them a single cent. If I ever get this, just like you, it will be pirate.
The first thing that came to my mind watching the trailer was, literally: "This looks awesome. Why does this have to be in EA's hands?"
i'm totally with you guys
EA labeled BF One as something that has never been done before.. yeah right its not like theres another WW1 shooter game thats actually realistic and came out one or two years before *looks at verdun*
Kind of reminds me of it's progenitor game before Battlefield 1942. I can't remember the name but it took place in an alternate WW1.
