These are a few older models that I am now getting around to texture.
While I would certainly model all of them differently if I was modelling them now, I see no point in getting trapped in the endless remodelling\retexturing trap, that so many artist find so enthralling.
Of course you cannot properly see the robotic repair arm (it was modelled in a way that meant it could be animated), but it is not that exciting, so don't worry about it.
Now on to the task of unwrapping.
All of these structures are considered large enough (or require enough detail) to use 2 x 512 textures has opposed to the single 512 I normally use.
Will it work same way as in classic games? It is possible to make it.
It would work the same way has the repair bay in your mod.
I do not know if it is possible to get the animation to work at the same time.
