Despite Blender being great for stuff like organic modelling and such, I will still use 3ds Max primarily.
Basically, 3ds Max 6 is mandatory for Far Cry 1 modelling (because the CryExport plug-in works best on it), and 3ds Max 9 is the golden middle for Half-Life 1 modelling. (because it has an OK export plug-in for SMD files)
When I get my new PC, I will plan on installing many more modelling tools, and texturing tools, too!
Yeah... see, my laptop's GPU doesn't support OpenGL 2.1 (which is probably required, but the sys. reqs. don't say which version). I'll try and see if it works.
